APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE ONCE-OFF AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FIREWALL INFRASTRUCTURE CONSISTING OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR THE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES MEDICAL SCHEME WITH A MAXIMUM OF 5- YEAR SUPPORT

GEMS has advertised the tender for GEMS/FirewallReplacement/2023/CON007 with the closing date of 14 June 2023. Due to technical problem, we encountered during briefing session on 25 May 2023, the new briefing session date is 05 June 2023 from 11h00-12h30. Attendees joining the session more than 15 minutes after the starting time noted i.e. after 11h15 will be deemed not to have attended the briefing session.

Prospective service providers are required to notify the relevant person Sandra Mupfururirwa at the respective email address at CON007.23FirewallReplacement@nexia-sabt.co.za, before 10h00 on 2 June 2023 whether they will attend the briefing session. Bidders will be provided with a link to connect and join the session on confirmation of attendance.  Attendees must have their own copies of the bid document in the briefing session. 

The new closing date for this bid is 23 June 2023 at 11h00am.

APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO PROVIDE MEMBER AND CLAIMS MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES MEDICAL SCHEME FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR COMMENCING 01 JANUARY 2026, AFTER WHICH THE CONTRACT MAY BE ANNUALLY RENEWABLE FOR A MAXIMUM OF FOUR (4) MORE YEARS

Prequalification criteria: 

Bidders must commit, over and above all other B-BBEE requirements, to spend, in aggregate during each term of this Agreement, at least thirty percent (30%) of the fees paid by GEMS to the Service Provider in respect of the Administration of Member, Claims, Correspondence and Enquiry Management Services rendered to the Scheme on B-BBEE sub-contractors that are at least a Level 1 or 2 contributor with at least 51 % Black ownership. If such Level 1 or 2 subcontractors cannot be identified, such sub-contractor may be a Level 3 contributor with a Black ownership status of at least 40% and further comply with other conditions detailed in the bid document

Bidders will be provided with a link to connect and join the session on confirmation of attendance. Attendees must have their own copies of the bid document in the briefing session.

The time stipulated is in accordance with Telkom time, available by dialling 1026. Further submission details are contained in the bid document. Submission will be strictly electronic to the relevant email address. No late submissions will be considered.
