Appointment of a service provider to provide Pharmacy Network Manager Services to GEMS for a period of one year commencing on 01 January 2022,which contract may be annually renewable for a maximum of four more years

Pre-qualification criterion:

Bidders must commit, over and above all other B-BBEE requirements, to spend at least 30% of its fees paid by GEMS, on B-BBEE subcontracting or forming of JVs that are at least a Level 1 or 2 contributor with at least 51% Black ownership and/or in combination with employing B-BBEE individuals on the project; with further options and conditions detailed in the bid document.  The bidder must also commit to, if successful, recruit more independent B-BBEE Pharmacies into the pharmacy network.

Compulsory briefing session:

Date: 25 May 2021 @ 12h00 to 14h00

Location: Online via Webex  

Attendees joining the session more than 15 minutes after the starting time noted i.e. after 12h15 will be deemed not to have attended the briefing session.

Prospective service providers are required to notify the relevant person at the respective email address indicated below for this requirement, before 10h00 on 21 May 2021 whether they will attend the briefing session. Bidders will be provided with a link to connect and join the session on confirmation of attendance.  Attendees must have their own copies of the bid document in the briefing session.    

Request for and submission of bid:

Bid documentation will only be available electronically in PDF or other format, on request by email, from Monday 10 May 2021 from the following persons:

Appointment of a service provider to render Medicine Courier Pharmacy Services to GEMS for a period of one year commencing on 01 January 2022, which contract may be annually renewable for a maximum of four more years

Pre-qualification criterion:

Bidders must commit, over and above all other B-BBEE requirements, to spend at least 30% of its fees paid by GEMS, on B-BBEE subcontracting or forming of JVs on courier companies that are at least a Level 1 or 2 contributor with at least 51% Black ownership and/or in combination with employing B-BBEE individuals on the project; with further options and conditions detailed in the bid document.  The bidder must also commit to, if successful, purchase pharmaceuticals from B-BBEE pharmaceutical companies, as further detailed in the bid document.
